Chubby Chernobyl Ant - Our Best Selling Chernobyl Ant

Its true, the trout eat the fat ones first.  Its not fair but they do.  So why not take advantage of this and give them a little chubby chernobyl to bring them up to the surface?  This fly fishes GREAT and floats even better.  The Poly Yarn wing has a lot of gloss and is very buoyant.  It carries a dropper very well and is easy to see even in heavy chop.  It has a short crystal flash tail that flashes and stimulates strikes even when the trout are in deep water.

This is the most popular dry fly pattern at Red's.  Our clients and customers love it because it floats good, is easy to see, and fishes sooooo well.  The Chubby Chernobyl also carries a dropper very well is easy to see even in choppy water.

I use it all the time December 30, 2011
Reviewer: fshmeister from Olympia, WA
I used this fly all the time in a variety of sizes.  I bought these on my way to the Big Hole last year and the young guy named Stefan sold me some of these.  Now I use them in size 12 for small streams and the big ones during a stonefly hatch or as a strike indicator with a beadhead nymph underneath.  The work great, the only complaint is that the fish do get used to seeing them but I guess that is true of all good flies.
