The Double Beaded Stone is a must have in all colors. The flashy underside accurately represents the light colored belly of any stonefly nymph and the weight, oh man, it is perfect. It sinks fast but doesn't seem to hang up on the bottom too much. The density is spread out through the entire fly (versus a heavy cone or Tungsten bead) and many of our guides contend that it fishes better because of this. Whatever the case may be, the Double Beaded Stone catches big trout and has enough weight that you won't need much if any additional weight to take the fly down through heavy, fast, and deep currents. You can also use the larger sizes for Summer Steelhead as well, the #4 is a killer on Summer runs!
