G Loomis NRX Saltwater Series Fly Rods - The Best All Around Flats Fishing Fly Rod

This rod was voted the all around best flats fishing rod on our Ascension Bay trips last year.  We fish big groups about 5 weeks every winter in the flats of Ascension Bay.  This gives us a great chance to test fly rods among a wide audience.  We used both the 8 and 9 weights and it was almost unanimous.  The 9 weight was perfect for Permit in the wind, Tarpon up to 30-40 pounds, Baracuda, and Snook. The 8 weight was perfect for Bonefish, Permit, Snook, and small Jacks.  We haven't seen very many rods that have been this overwhelmingly popular.  Usually a near fist fight ensues!  Not on this one though, it is very popular and gaining momentum.

We get a lot of online orders from a lot of anglers all over the country that are looking for the very best flats fishing rod available.  These are discriminating anglers that have read the blogs, read the reviews, and done the research.  They order the 9' 9 weight.  The 8 weight sells equally well because it has such a universal appeal for bones, but the anglers that want to throw 80' plus into the wind at a tailing permit usually go for the 9 weight.
