This is called the Garage Door Opener because this fly is so heavy that if you ever get locked out you can tie it on your 8 weight and bash the door open with this thing! Just kidding, not sure why it is named that. Probably because when big Bass see this thing they just "open up" like a garage door! It seems to work like that anyway, it "gets em"! Use it all year long as a general attractor and you won't be disappointed. The hook is too sharp to stare at and it rides hook up so you won't lose hardly any of these things.
