March Brown Emerger Pattern - Wet Fly
This March Brown Emerger is Killer, it looks just like the real thing!
The March Brown emerger that we like can be fished as a dropper under a dry fly or a nymph. Be sure that when you are nymphing with this pattern that you let it swing up at the end. This imitates the insect swimming up towards the surface to hatch. This is a wet fly and will not float, you can fish it several inches under the surface to fool even the most selective trophy trout. If you like to "feel" the take, then simply swing this in the riffles for aggressive takes. If you do that, just make sure to use at least 4X Tippet because you will break off the fish. Be sure to use Fluorocarbon Tippet with all of your emergers, it is less fiber optic and therefore less visible to the trout.
Folks that buy this bug, also like to fish these flies as well.
