There is no hopper on earth that hooks picky trout as well as the parachute hopper.  It tends to land soft and catch fish in very clear water conditions better than others.  It also makes a good crossover pattern when tan stoneflies are present.  If you are even thinking about using a hopper in a lake environment this is the one!
