The K-Stone is the all time classic Stonefly Nymph.  It has a nicely tapered profile that trout recognize immediately as a Stone Nymph, but the magic to this fly is the long rubber legs that flex willingly in the current, and the blend of dubbing of course.  The dubbing material is composed of many different color strands that reflect various shades of light to emulate motion and fool big trout.  This fly is also an awesome Summer Steelhead fly too in the larger sizes.  Make sure to buy lots because they are weighted and you want to fish these right along the bottom where the big boys are hiding! The brown color darkens up in the water and takes on a mottled appearance that is very real. It makes a great Salmon Fly nymph in the size 6/8 range.
