This is a great line because it is one piece. The running line and shooting head are contiguous. Use the floating version of this for use on Switch Rods and go up two line weights. i.e. for a 7 Weight Switch Rod use the WF9F version and you can't go wrong. The full floating version can be combined with sinking polyleaders to make a great sink tip "spey casting" system for a switch rod. It can also be used on a single handed rod (same line weight 5 weight is a straight 5 weight) and can be combined with sinking versi-leaders to make a great streamer fishing system!
This line is very comparable to the Wulff Ambush Fly Line
it has a slightly longer head at 30' compared to 20' on the Ambush but it does have a longer back taper. They cast pretty similar but is a slightly better indicator line because the head is longer. Both are great choices though.
