MUCH better than the XP... and everything else! December 11, 2009

I am rod guy, I fish a lot and am pretty critical as I spend as much time casting as fishing.  When Sage replaced the XP with the Z-Axis I was very skeptical but I was at an Event at Red's that featured a casting competition and the rod everybody had to use was the Z-Axis 9' 5 weight.  MAN, what a difference in accuracy.  It must be the slightly softened tip, but it didn't seem to lose any energy either.  I did end up buying the 590-4 model I cast that day, and later picked up a 490-4 for using exclusively for dry flies.
