The Super Critter is one of our favorites.  It casts great, catches fish, and sinks faster than flies with similar bodies and profiles. The keys are the hair tail and pheasant tail color that don't hold much water upon cast.  This delivers long accurate shots and the fly sinks very quickly thanks to a moderately weighted set of eyes.  The fly makes a lot of noise due to the stiff fibers pushing water so the fish not only get a great looking pattern, they get to hear it as well!  The fly shows great respect to the "Brooks Theory" which suggests that no matter what angle the fly is viewed from the profile is similar in appearance. This fly fishes well and should be in your fly box when you need a fly that can wake 'em up.  Fish it on a floating like or a sinking tip.
