How does one improve upon the Parachute Adams?  Easy!  Just split the post, much like a Royal Wulff, for increased visibility, flotation, and fishiness and then add a wrap of flash along the abdomen to give it a eye-catching glimmer and the trout seem to single this one and pound it.  It floats great, is easy to see, and hunts.  It is a HIGH QUALITY pattern that will hold up and is tied on a great hook that is super sharp and is a light wire so it hooks up well.  This is not a discount fly, it is a pro-quality bug that you will find catches fish in a large array of conditions and hatches.  We love to use this fly for March Browns, Blue Winged Olives, Drakes, and even a PMD.  It works well for a variety of hatches.

What is the best small nymph ever?  Well, a Pheasant tail comes to mind! This material and sleek body profile is what makes this pattern a killer bug for big trout.  It fishes well because if its very natural material base and because trout love crippled Mayflies, they are easy to catch. No flight risk.  Buy some for any hatch, many of our guides use these for March Browns, PMD's, BWO's, Mohogany Duns, and even Caddis.

This is a great fly because not only does it look super real and catch picky fish while they are eating primarily emergers, it floats!  It is very easy to see, very buoyant, and fishes great.  By utilizing elk hair the fly has an "active" look to it, like a Dun that is having trouble getting its wings into the upright position.  It also sports a parachute hackle that keeps it floating square and true even in rough currents.  A must have bug.
