TFO BVK Series Spey Hand Fly RodsA finely tuned instrument — lightweight and highly responsive.
We didn't always carry these rods, but SO MANY CUSTOMERS WERE RAVING that we had to try them out. They are an incredible value at this price and have won more awards than we can list. Our competitor George Anderson over at the Yellowstone angler put on a shootout and the BVK has done unbelievably well in it. They are a fabulous rod and have a reputation for being durable as well as being a very good performing rod. They are built with an emphasis on presentation, but aren't too shabby in the distance category either!
Engineered to the highest performance standards, the BVK utilizes new materials that dramatically reduce weight while creating an aggressive blend of power and strength. The result is amazing performance and an incredible price. BVK rods are fast action rods designed to excel in Presentation and Distance. The rich translucent olive blanks are topped with matching braided carbon fiber reel seats, our exclusive Tactical Series Stripping Guides*, ultra lightweight chromium-impregnated stainless snake guides and Flor grade grips that are comfortably contoured and uniquely contrasted. Available in 3- to 10-weight.
Spey Line RecommendationsExperienced casters typically like their spey lines a bit on the light side, or an "A" style recommendation on many charts. New casters most often prefer a heavier line which allows them to load the rod easily and feel the rod flex under the weight of the line. This is a "B" style caster. Just find your rod on the chart.
*if you can't find your rod on these charts, just order the shooting head you like in ANY grain weight and ask us to prescribe the appropriate match in your order comments.
*TFO's Tactical Series Guides are high performance guides designed to withstand the most rigorous fishing conditions while providing the ultimate in weight savings. The guides feature super hard-chrome anodized, stainless steel inserts pressed into a machined, hard-annodized, satinless steel frame for extreme durability in both fresh and saltwater.

To use your No-Fault Warranty in the U.S., simply send the entire rod to our address in Dallas, TX. Yes, you must send in your entire rod as we do not sell individual sections. Once it arrives, we will re-fit a new section to your rod and inspect the remainder for any additional damage or wear.
We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking information in case of a problem. Make sure to include a note with your return shipping/contact information and a check for $30 (per rod). Failure to include the proper return shipping information may result in additional fees. Your repaired rod will be shipped back to you within a few days of receipt. Blanks sections (as appropriate) will be replaced and returned with related hardware and finishings from broken sections. This warranty is limited to the blank on custom TFO rods and does not cover flagrant abuse of the product. International warranties have different requirements. Please contact us for more details.
